When you think about Rhumba it's hard not to think about award-winning star Koffi Olomide. The legendary artiste, whose real name is Antoine Christophe Agbepa Mumba has inspired many.

Truth be told he has a talent many can't even grasp. 

The icing on the cake is that he is a good dancer like he is a good performer.

It would be impossible to be in the industry for more than 30 years and not have inspired someone.

In 2020, Diamond Platnumz featured Koffi Olomide in the song 'Waah' which has garnered 146 million views on YouTube so far.

In 2023, the duo released 'Achii.’ 

The song which was released two months ago has garnered more than 16 million views on YouTube.

Fally Ipupa

Fally Ipupa parted ways with Koffi Olomide in 2006.

 Before venturing solo, Fally served as a backup singer in Olomide's Orchestra Quartier Latin International for an extended period.

He has gone on to be among the most sought-after Rhumba artists in the world.

He can sing fluently in English, Lingala, and French.

Ferre Gola

 Ferré Gola is widely regarded as one of the best fifth-generation Congolese artists.

 In 2005, he joined Koffi Olomidé's Quartier Latin International as a singer and composer and contributed significantly to Koffi's solo album Danger de Mort on songs like "Silivi" and "Insecticide," which was later released in 2006.

In 2006, he launched his solo career and released his debut album Sens Interdit.

He has gone on to be a music Idol, thanks to the exposure he got while under Koffi.
