Kipsigis Girls High School's deputy principal dies after collapsing at home

Kipsigis Girls High School's deputy principal for academics is dead.

According to the police, the deputy principal had been found unconscious in her bedroom and was rushed to Siloam Hospital.

She was declared dead upon arrival.

The incident was confirmed by Kericho East Officer Commanding Police Division, Peter Mutuma.

The OCPD revealed that the school Principal Christine Chumba had informed him that the deceased was diagnosed with low blood levels and had even gone for a medical check-up.

“We are waiting for an autopsy to be conducted to unravel the cause of death,” said Mutuma.

Chumba declined to comment on the incident, even as Kericho Officer Commanding Station and the Directorate of Criminal Investigation launched investigations into the deputy principal's death.

The body was removed to Siloam Hospital Mortuary.
