Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has yet again shown his generosity card to retired President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The politician had in the early mornings of Saturday posted a video of himself and his team purchasing liquor at one of the stores in the country.

His team looked at several brands at the store and what they settled for cost Sh1,029,000 at the checkpoint.

"How much is it?" Sonko asked, and the lady replied: "It is Sh1,029,000"  and immediately the former senator handed over his credit card.

When the receipt was presented, Sonko sang for Uhuru in his absentia.

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Kenyatta, happy birthday to you," he sang at the store, as the liquors were packed into the car.

Sonko captioned the video with two bible verses, wishing Uhuru a happy belated birthday.

"It is written in the book of Mathew 5:43. "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." I celebrate the former President H.E Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta. May the Good Lord give him good health and long life as he celebrates his 62nd birthday," he said.

The former governor went ahead and revealed he had also gifted him with a cake and card, in addition to the drinks.

"This is as a sign of missing the happy good days we used to spend together before and after he became president. Happy birthday, my brother, and may your additional year bring you happiness," part of the post read.

Sonko went ahead to ask for forgiveness from his God for the insults, anything he said to provoke the former president, and unkind words

"I have also forgiven you for all the wrongdoings and persecution. May you live long. God bless you and your family," he added.

"In the Book of Luke 6:27-30 (NIV), the Lord says: 27 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. 30. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back."

Uhuru turned 62 years old on October 26, with different celebrations across the country, despite his absence on the scene.
