Rayvanny finally joins the Billionaires Club on YouTube

Just the other day, Nigeria’s Burna Boy dethroned Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz to become to most streamed artiste on YouTube in Sub-Sarahan Africa.

Next Level Music CEO Raymond Shaban Mwakyusa aka Rayvanny has made a new milestone in his music career after accumulating over 1 billion views on YouTube.

With the new milestone, the former WCB signee has officially joined the billionaires club on the streaming platform.

An excited Vanny Boy shared the news with his fans- appreciating them for according him support over the year.

The singer joined the streaming platform on March 17th, 2026 after being signed by Diamond Platnumz to WCB Wasafi.

So far he has 1,000,451,775 views and counting after uploading a total of 812 videos on his YouTube channel.

Rayvanny emerged in the spotlight with his debut song "Kwetu", which introduced him to the world. Later on, he grabbed attention with his hit song featuring Diamond Platnumz titled "Tetema" which grabbed different charts Worldwide.

Rayvanny's Achievements

Rayvanny was mentioned by MTV Base among "Acts To Look Out For" in 2017 and also won Viewer's Choice Best New International Artist at BET Awards 2017.

Rayvanny has been the first AFRICAN ARTIST to perform at MTV EMA shows in late of 2021 with MALUMA, and he also was the first East African artist to win DIAFA AWARDS in late 2022.

As far as YouTube dominance is concerned Vanny Boy is among the few stars who have over 1 billion views on YouTube.

Diamond Vs Burna Boy

Just the other day, Nigeria’s Burna Boy dethroned Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz to become to most streamed artiste on YouTube in Sub-Sarahan Africa.

For the longest, Chibu Dangote was leading the pack as far as YouTube views are concerned but not anymore.

Currently is the King of YouTube with over 2,421,566,711 views (and counting) as compared to Diamond’s 2,323,750,165 views (and counting).

Burna joined the streaming platform on January 13, 2018, while Platnumz joined YouTube on June 12, 20112.

However, Platnumz still holds the record for the artiste with the most subscribers in Sub-Saharan Africa. He has over 7.98 million subscribers while Burna Boy has over 4.13 million subscribers.
