Nairobi man nabbed by LSK for allegedly masquerading as lawyer

A Nairobi man who was allegedly masquerading as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of LSK Nairobi Branch was arrested ion Thursday. 

Reports indicate that the man had battled 26 cases before High Court Judges, Magistrates, and Court of Appeal Judges before his arrest, and he won all of them.

He was arrested by the Law society of Kenya Nairobi Branch Rapid Action Team (RAT) over claims of false pretense.

The man was apprehended when RAT received public complaints about his alleged fraudulent actions.

According to LSK statement on X App, the man is not an advocate and does not have a license to practice law in Kenya.

In a statement said that Brian was neither an advocate of the High Court of Kenya nor a member of the LSK Nairobi Branch.

"Notice: It has been brought to the attention of the LSK Nairobi Branch through the Rapid Action Team (RAT), that the above pictured person has been presenting and conducting himself as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of LSK Nairobi Branch.

"The Branch wishes to notify all members of the society and of the public that BRIAN MWENDA NJAGI is not an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, from the Society’s records, neither is he a member of the Branch," the LSK statement said. 

He is being held at the RAT headquarters pending further investigation.

At the same time, videos of Brian representing former Mungiki leader in a televised court proceedings have surfaced online.
