Usher announced as 2024's super Bowl half time show performer

The most watched super bowl performance so far has been that of Rihanna which took place in February this year

Grammy award winning American singer Usher Raymond will be 2024's Super Bowl performer. Dubbed the most watched event of the year, Super Bowl is an annual league championship game of the American national Football League.

The 'Love In This Club' hitmaker announced this on his social media "It's an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can't wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they've seen from me before," he said

"Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I'll see you real soon."

The show will go down in February 2024.

He was congratulated by tens of celebrities including Jay Z who referred to him as the ultimate artist and showman.

"Ever since his debut at the age of 15, he's been charting his own unique course. Beyond his flawless singing and exceptional choreography, Usher bares his soul. His remarkable journey has propelled him to one of the grandest stages in the world. I can't wait to see the magic," said Jay Z

The most watched super bowl performance so far has been that of Rihanna which took place in February this year. 

Since 2022, the game is played on the second Sunday in February. Prior Super Bowls were played on Sundays in early to mid-January from 1967 to 1978, late January from 1979 to 2003, and the first Sunday of February from 2004 to 2021.The super bowl has served as the final game of every NFL season since 1966.
