Another one! Faith Kipyegon wins gold in 5000M in Budapest

At the same time the two-time Olympic 1500m champion, Kipyegon has this year set three world records in the 1500m, 5,000m and mile.

On Saturday night, Faith Kipyegon made history after winning her second gold at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest.

Another Kenyan Beatrice Chebet grabbed bronze while Ethiopia’s Sifan Hassan took home a silver medal.

Kipyegon has now won two gold medals in the ongoing World Athletics Championships in Budapest - in 1500m/5000m.

At the same time the two-time Olympic 1500m champion, Kipyegon has this year set three world records in the 1500m, 5,000m, and mile.

"This has been an amazing year for me. Making history today, winning two gold medals in a championship is what I was dreaming for this season.

"I have been patient waiting to be able to break world records and win double golds. But my dream just came true, it is amazing. I have been pushing myself to the limits and I will continue to push myself in the future,” Kipyegon said

The brilliant, exceptional, and incomparable Faith Kipyegon has bagged a second Gold in the 5000m at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest. Well in Emanuel Wanyonyi and Beatrice Chebet for Silver in the men's 800m and bronze in women's 5000m.
