Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has responded to the growing trend of followers tattooing his face on their bodies.

This is due to Maryanne Njoki's recent act of tattooing Sonko's face on her thigh, which drew attention and prompted Sonko to express his thoughts on the matter.

Sonko took to social media to acknowledge the loyalty and love he receives from his followers while gently expressing his reservations about the tattoo choice.

"I appreciate your faithful support and I also love you but please, I will love you without tattoos because your body is yours and your master's and God's," the former governor insisted.

I like him a lot because he helps people, I am his fan, he doesn't know me but I know him. I said I should draw him so I can see him.

"I didn't even think that it was what I was looking for, he just drew me and I didn't even post it, the guy who drew me posted it, even though I'm not on Instagram. I still haven't reconciled with Sonko but I had heard that he called my number but he hasn't called me yet."

"If I meet Sonko, I will tell him that I love him, he helps people, I have never seen someone do things for people and his money, I can only tell him to keep going and I don't see him getting tired because he started a while ago and he is still going," Njoki said.
