Top Kenyan DJ Babu dead after grisly road accident [Details]

The abrupt passing of DJ Babu, who was stationed in Dubai, has shocked the Kenyan music scene.

The DJ is said to have passed away as a result of a horrific traffic accident. He was well known for sponsoring and organizing gigs for Kenyan artists.

Babu passed away just days after hosting rapper Khaligraph Jones in Dubai together with his team.

Before his untimely death, Babu had worked with the likes of Singer Iyanni, DJ Juan, MC Teargas, Ssaru, MC Gogo, DJ Daffy, Singer Masauti, Khaligraph Jones, MC Guru, Mejja, Nyashinski, Sauti Sol among others.

Kenyan celebrities and fans have mourned the DJ with heartfelt messages- appreciating his contribution to the music industry.

In March 2021, DJ Babu was again involved in another accident while in the company of music promoter Kaka dc, while in Washington DC.

Dj Babu began his deejaying career in late 2008 and continued till his passing in a car accident in July 2023.

He was also the founder and CEO of Jamdown Dubai since 2013.

His death deals a blow to the music and entertainment sectors globally as well as in Kenya and Dubai.
