Zari Hassan has revealed that her kids had not approved of her husband at first. The socialite is married to a Ugandan man, Shakib Lutaaya.

The Ugandan-South African-based businesswoman said this at an interview with NTV Uganda.

"My children did not approve of my relationship with Shakib but after witnessing how close we were and happy, they asked him to ensure that he takes good care of me."

Hassan has three teenage sons; Pinto, Raphael, and Quincy Semwanga whom she sired with late Ugandan businessman Ivan Semwanga.

Hassan has two other kids; Princess Tiffah and Prince Nillan, fathered by Tanzanian music mogul Diamond Platnumz.

Zari and Shakib tied the knot in April this year during Ramadhan. She revealed that Lutaaya gave out a Quran as dowry.

“I have had everything I have ever wanted in this world God has blessed me I have a beautiful life, my kids are okay and my business is thriving and I get gigs here and there." She told Tanzanian press mid-this year

I’m blessed enough… so for me  I only have my husband for a Quaran because I’m trying to up my faith game, I’m a Muslim too sometimes, he was even surprised when I told him that."

“So he bought me one, so that it, only a Quran,” Zari said.
