Sen. Okiya Omtatah of Busia claims that he has been offered up to Sh200 million were he to withdraw his court case against the Finance Law.

"My efforts to continue fighting and standing for what I believe is right is not going to be deterred," Omtatah said.

He addressed at Nairobi's Ufungamano House's People's Anti-Corruption Summit.

After the High Court decided to withdraw orders suspending the implementation of the Finance Act on Monday, President William Ruto's administration was dealt a severe setback that might halt all government initiatives.

The Finance Act 2023, which the President signed on June 26, remains an ineffective law as a result of the court's ruling.
