Ray C makes music comeback with 'Coco' after years in retirement

France based-Tanzanian singer Rehema Chalamila aka Ray C has officially made a comeback into the music industry after years in retirement.

Taking to her socials, Ray C announced to the world that she has a new song and that her fans should consider streaming the song.

The new tune signals Ray C’s comeback into the music industry after years of total silence as far as her music career is concerned.

Ray C who is currently based in Paris is taking care of her newborn baby as she welcomed with her Mzungu hubby.

“Am so happy baby today,Hivi kuna mafuta kwenye ndinga?Twende zetu masaki ama Osterbay leo mi natamani tu kuyumbaa 🍾🍺🍷🥂. Mh na ham na samaki wa makange

“Sitamani kabisa nishindie home. Naona kama niko rumande❗️Aaah Rumandeee. Endelea mwenyewe🤣🤣🤣💃💃🥰,” Ray C wrote while promoting her new single.

Drug addiction

Ray C, the one-time undisputed queen of Bongo flava shelved her music career after moving to Paris, France.

In 2018, she later introduced her boyfriend to the public- it is not year clear if the two are still an item.

She fought drug addiction that ruined her flourishing musical career for almost a decade.

She was taken to rehab by former Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete. Thereafter she worked on a comeback in the music industry but she did not manage to reclaim her lost glory.

She released a solo project titled "Unanimaliza" and a collaboration dubbed "Najiuliza" with fellow Tanzanian musician Chege and Kenyan singer Sanaipei Tande before relocating to Paris, France.
