Kenyan music queen Nadia Mukami has apologized to fans who turned up at her concert in Kisumu on Sunday after she had to leave the stage early.

In her statement on Monday, the 26-year-old singer explained that the show was cut short due to health problems that struck her while on stage.

She said the asthma problem that she has had for a long time made her unable to breathe while she was performing and so she had to interrupt the entertainment earlier than planned.

"To my Kisumu fans, I'm sorry my performance was interrupted due to health issues. I have asthma and before the show, I had chest pain but I thought I could perform, unfortunately in the middle of the show I couldn't breathe," said Nadia.

The mother of one continued to thank all the fans who showed up at the concert. "I will be back. Thank you for showing me so much love.

Special thanks to the promoters for their support. Thank you Da Place club and team. With the defense team," she said.

Nadia however revealed that at present her health has already improved and she is doing well.

About a year ago, Nadia opened up about how she was ridiculed and criticized a lot on the internet for not being able to finish performing at her concert in Busia in 2021.

The 26-year-old musician said that she missed finishing the show because she was overwhelmed.

She revealed that at the time she was going through a difficult period after losing her pregnancy earlier that week.

"There is a promoter of Busia who had paid some money a while ago. Before I could not perform because of the lockdown.

After the lockdown was lifted now I could perform. I left the hospital on Wednesday and then he insisted that I must perform that Saturday," Nadia narrated on YouTube.

The musician claimed that the organizers of the concert put her in a poor environment and treated her badly.

She said that when she was invited to the stage, she could only perform for half an hour but she could not continue.
