Diamond Platnumz has advised fellow artistes to invest in other businesses outside of music. The WCB record label CEO was asked what has kept him on top for years

"Apart from being a musician, I am an entrepreneur. It is difficult and business has taught me to treat music in a very respectful way."

He added that he sharpens his skills now and then.

"Being a musician is a talent like any other. I spend more time in the studio, I work out, I dance, I play instruments, I Practice. I have decided to dedicate myself to music and I don't joke around."

"People are yet to see what I can do," he added.

He went on to advise;

"I advise other artistes t invest because young musicians will come and you will never stay on top for long. I am preparing for my retirement so that when that time comes, I am able to live the life that I want to live."

Diamond is the owner of the WCB record label. He has signed Mbosso and Zuchu. Harmonize and Rayvanny were also part of the label.

The singer has credited himself for their success.

"First of all, it's a great comfort for me, you know I've been lucky, I'm very lucky considering that all my artists are doing very well musically."

All the artists who have passed through my hands Harmonize, Rayvanny, Mbosso, Zuchu, and others are doing very well. And to be honest, that gives me a sense of comfort, I feel that they have not failed me as a parent," said the artist.

"I feel happy when I see that the artists who came from my hands are the ones in the figures. Not out of spite but because it's fun.

Sometimes I just write the numbers 1, 2, 3... 6.. etc. It's a very good thing. Their departure and going to start a label, starting what is just a continuation of Wasafi, and that gives me a lot of motivation," Diamond said.
