Diamond's sister explains reason for making public family apology

About two weeks ago, Esma Khan, sister to singer Diamond Platnumz asked her family for forgiveness. 

In her post, she said she had wronged her mother, her brothers and close family members.

"Binadamu huenda tukakosea kwa makusudi au bahati mbaya au hata shetani akaja kwako kwa majaribu na akashinda kwa nguvu zake… ktk kuelekea mwezi mtukufu kuna wengi niliowakwaza Mamaangu ndugu zangu wa karibu kaka zangu mkiwa nyie mnavinyongo hata funga yangu haitokubaliwa kwa Allah nawahidi nitakuwa Dada bora kwenu. AM SORRY."

(As humans, we might have wronged intentionally or by bad luck or even the devil might have tempted you. As we prepare for the holy month, there are things I might have done wrong to my mother, siblings, if you still hold grudge for me then my fasting will be nothing, I promise to be a better sister)

Fans reacted to the post, assuming that Esma was on bad terms with her family after she shared a video dancing to Harmonize's song; Harmonize has not been on good terms with Diamond Platnumz.

Speaking to Wasafi, Esma said she asked for forgiveness due to Ramadhan

"What I know is that when Ramadhan is nearing, people ask for forgiveness, whether they know they are wrong or not. I did not only ask for forgiveness from my family or close friends alone but also other people including my clients. My family and I are good, we are a hundred percent."

She added;

"I asked for forgiveness because of Ramadhan not because of singing Harmonize's song. I sing Alikiba's songs too, Marioo. No one ever caught feelings for that."

She added that among her mother's kids, she is the most loved child.
