Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has lit the internet with a video of his experience during the Azimio protests.

In the video, Salasya is wearing a red jersey, brown khaki shorts and white sneakers.

At first, he is seen speaking to a group of people bragging about attending the protests.

Then he seems to hear a blast, either a gunshot or teargas and takes off in haste.

On Sunday, Salasya confirmed attendance at the planned mass action led by ODM leader Raila Odinga.

"On Monday I will be just a normal Kenyan. I will not be an MP and no MP should call me mhesh," Salasya tweeted.

He faulted President William Ruto's regime for ignoring concerns raised by Kenyans.

"They have failed to call President to demand enough reasons why our economy is in limbo. We expect all police officers to join our peaceful demo," he added.
