Raila whereabouts unknown as other Azimio leaders blocked from leaving homes

The Azimio leader is not known where he is located at the moment as police battle crowd in the CBD.

The demonstrations have seen police battle the Azimio leaders supporters.

Several Azimio bigwigs have been blocked from leaving their homes as the whereabouts of Azimio leader Raila Odinga remain unclear.

As of 11 am, the ODM leader was a no-show, even as police engaged his supporters and Opposition MPs in running battles.

Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, Raila's running mate in last year's presidential election, is among those politicians that have been blocked from leaving their homes.

She reportedly spent the night at her home but was unable to get out of the compound with police having blocked the road.

It is not clear where Raila spent the night with little activity being seen on the road leading to his Karen home.

However, Raila has tweeted that he is on the way to the city.

"Naona Kazi Imeanza tuko njiani nasi. #DateWithDestiny20thMarch," he tweeted attaching a video of leaders at KICC.

The other Aziomio leaders including Kalonzo Musyoka's whereabouts remain unknown with reports that they have been blocked from leaving their homes.

Some MPs have already staged a sit-in at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in the CBD with police arresting a number of demonstrators.The Azimio leaders are expected to lead protests at the city centre and proceed for a march to State House to "reclaim their stolen victory".
