Raila Odinga's convoy was forced to make rounds in Nairobi streets after he was blocked from accessing Central Business District.

The ODM leader on Monday was meant to address the nation from Serena Hotel but he changed plans as supporters arrived at the place.

Raila who was flanked by other Azimio leaders had a confrontation with the anti-riot police.

The two sides had a standoff of close to 10 minutes before Azimio supporters threw tear gas canisters at police.

The police retaliated and teargassed the mob in an attempt to disperse them.

However, the opposition turned away through Valley road and joined Uhuru Highway.

Attempts to join the CBD were futile as police had blocked most roads leading towards the city centre.

The convoy made its way through Uhuru Highway and joined Bunyala Road as they entered Lusaka road before joining the Jogoo road.

All through, supporters of Azimio joined the convoy and they praised the Azimio leader.

The ever-busy Eastleigh came to a standstill as Raila made through with the many vehicles accompanying him.
