Gospel singers Rose Muhando and Christina Shusho have denied rumours they were on bad terms before they came together for an upcoming concert.

Their Easter festival, 'Mtoko Wa Pasaka', will be happening on April 9 and is a collaborative project.

Muhando told journalists the beefing claims are not true.

"How do I stop loving someone and they can't sing like me or vice versa? We wanted to erase the thought we are not on good terms. We are united. I want people to know that we have never been on bad terms," she said.

She said Shusho was the one who designed the clothes she wore in the making of her hit album 'Nibebe'.

"I felt sad about the rumours. I love her and she loves me, too. We laugh and spend time together."

"When I was sick in Nairobi, she was concerned about my well-being."

Shusho also thanked Muhando for holding her hand "When I had just started singing, I was looking up to her.

At the time, there were more choirs than solo artistes. Solo artistes were never taken seriously. It was hard to rise but when I saw her, I was inspired."

"People never knew that we would stand together and collaborate in music and other projects."

Shusho called upon other gospel artistes to do away with their divisiveness.

"We are divided. The more we become divided, the more we become weak."

Muhando added that the duo wanted to be an inspiration to other upcoming artistes.

"I have been 20 years since I started singing. I want young artistes to look at us and get inspired. We have just started. We will sing until we are old. We will not stop. We are together and can do what others are also doing."

The two are working on 'Mtoko wa Pasaka', an Easter Festival.
