Classic 105's Maina Kageni was in shock after a woman revealed that she puts about Sh7 to Sh8 million every month in a joint account she has with her husband who is the signatory.

The woman further told Maina that this is the key to a successful marriage.

In the morning conversation, he asked women whether they'd put their earnings in a joint account with their men.

"Ladies, your man is not supposed to know how much you earn because the minute he finds out you will pay for all those bills," advised Maina.

A caller said "Pesa iwekwe kwa meza. Hata bibi yangu juzi amenipea pesa nikalipa loan yenye mimi nilichukua."

Check out what other callers said;

Caller: That's how it is supposed to be. Women who refuse the joint account hawana kakitu. I once worked for a woman who was getting 19 million shillings and her husband was just getting the ATM card and using the money, I stayed for them for five years and never saw them arguing.

Caller: I can't put my money together with him, My money is my money and his money is our money. I can never even loan him. I have never given my man any money.

Caller: I had a joint account with my wife and we were both signatories but she was going behind my back and using the money and when I asked about it, she said she had sent it to her mother, and bought socks for the kids.

Caller: What kind of generation are we raising, why are people saying their money is theirs and mine is ours, it's about the handshake. I can't have a joint account because she will steal from me, she always does. She steals petty cash and by the time you come to realize it's about a million na amenyamaza nayo na anaenga.

Here is how social media reacted to the conversation;

Steve Morgan: Maina in a relationship there is something we called trust, ok that's all. if she trusts me and I trust her she will do anything I mean anything coz when a woman loves she loves with her whole take that to the bank Maina.

Kiples Lolgos: Maina the only fear I have for marriage' is my money ' being called our money.

Brian Mwikali: Maina i and my partner can choose to have one joint account for shared expenses while keeping the rest of our money in separate accounts. Privacy muhimu..and please gotea my girl Mercy Chebet anakuskiza hapa..,

Beatrice Awange: Nijikute! Hata na dawa ya mganga kutoka Nigeria au Tanzania siwezi! Inaitwa kuchuna maskio. Pesa yangu ni yangu, yake ni yetu

Concepter Nyabs: Maybe it works differently for different people. For me doing a joint account with a man is a big No, however much or little I earn

Rosy Mainah: Mtu apewe pesa na babak

Paul Banks: The previous callers put it well women who don't have money are the most selfish most demanding and with high standards and in most cases are never married and if so painful marriages cause we ought to have each other's back.

Njeri Ngunu: such audacity ndio siwezi taka kwa maisha yangu.Not now, not anytime, never ever. Mutu akae na account na pesa yake ajipange kivyake.

Travis Boyete: If a lady loves you I don't think it's a big deal for her to share her money with you, personally mimi nimeishi kupewa doh na ladies sijui ni bahati gan

Simba ya luvini: I usually give my money man,we gave a joint account and everything is OK, depends on marriage love, and trust #MainaAndKingangi
