The pastor of the church and Word Evangelism in Nairobi, Prophet James Ng'ang'a is celebrating his 70th birthday which he has described as years of happiness.

Ng'ang'a, who has repeatedly testified that he was imprisoned several times from the 1970s to the early 1990s, has celebrated himself with a sweet message.

He said that the secret of looking young despite that age is that he did what he was supposed to do and left it to God to do the rest.

The pastor also revealed that when he decided to be saved, he loved music and the gospel and that's why he bought his first guitar for almost one million shillings.

"I am 70 years old, thank you for God's grace upon me, I am a pastor and also an evangelist, and I like to sing gospel music. I have four guitars, the most expensive one I bought in the United States for about 7700 US dollars (equivalent to 992,000 Kenyan shillings).

That means it's like a matatu car, it's a sign to show how much I love music," Ng'ang'a said.

Ng'ang'a also defended his style of dancing, saying that he does not always want to compare himself to someone else, but to increase himself in the experience and sing to God.

"I'm not trying to play better than anyone else. I'm just trying to play better than myself. Every day brings a chance for you to take a breath, take off your shoes, and dance," Ng'ang'a said.

"70 years of happiness, I decided to do my best and leave the rest to God," he added.

The pastor in his testimony said that when he left jail, he found himself at the coast of Kenya where he started a business as a small fruit seller using a wheelbarrow before visiting various churches to build himself up as a servant of the Lord.
