Francis Gachuri's powerful message as he exits Citizen TV for new State job

He has left Citizen TV after 16 years for a new jib in Kindiki's ministry

Citizen TV senior political Editor has bid his fans farewell after 16 years of being in the media.

This was after he was appointed as the Secretary, Strategic Communications under to lead the Ministry of Interior and National Administration

The award winning journalist says he is thankful for the many chances he was given by the media house.

"On September 1, 2007, I joined RMS as a political reporter. 5,660 days later, I announce my exit to take up another national assignment.

I am grateful and humbled by the many experiences, lessons, and opportunities I have had in the industry," he said in a meeting.

I have called this place home, when I came here, I was a young man, who did not even have a family then.

All my major milestones have happened while I was here.

Now I have two families, my wife and kids and as well as the RMS family that includes my colleagues, our viewers, listeners and readers ”

Further adding

"I thank God for everything. I have the rare privilege of working with the very best in the industry. My colleagues are the best.

Team excellence. The invaluable guidance of my bosses will always be truly appreciated," he said.

In his new role, Gachuri will be the one creating, delivering and evaluating communication activities that lead to the effective positioning and promotion of trust within the Ministry. 

He will also manage all internal and external communications channels within the Ministry of Interior and National Coordination.
