Maina Kageni has asked Kenyans to stop 'killing' people on social media.

Maina said this following the spread of fake news alleging that former vice president Moody Awori was dead.

"I don't know where Kenyans get this information from. Are we so obsessed of bad news? Mzee is fine," said Maina on the Morning Conversation

King'ang'i added;

"Mzee amekaa, amejinyamazia nyumbani, sasa akisoma hizo news? By the way zinawezapatia mtu pressure."

Maina said Awori is fine and healthy and "May he live long. And may we stop murdering people."

Have you never been killed? King'ang'i asked Maina, to which the radio personality said he had experienced three 'murders' by social media users.

"Me, I have been killed. Like three times in Dar Es Salaam. I've heard about three car crashes in Dar Es Salaam. Nikakufia huko, nikazikwa the next day kama Muslim. "

"They said I got an accident inside Diamond's car, another one was an explosion inside Harmonize's house."

King'ang'i also said he had been 'killed' by social media users alleging he had been involved in a road accident.

"Hata mimi walinimalizia Mombasa Rd, shida waliweka gari kubwa. Ushaisoma kifo yako? Na watu wanakupigia ati 'naskia ulikufa' Why are you calling to confirm kama nimekufa? Unataka nikwambie niko mbinguni?"
