Classic 105 presenter Maina Kageni was on the Morning Conversation asking listeners why most men don't put a ring on it and when they do, they take a lifetime.

"Ladies, you cannot live in a house with a man without a ring on your finger. How do you live with a man who has not proposed to you? How long should a woman wait?" He asked

Mwalimu King'ang'i interfered "Maina ni kama umetumwa. There are some things you cannot put time on."

Maina asked ladies, why they are in houses with men who are yet to marry them and what they were waiting for.

A caller said: "I was with my ex for 9 years. He never met my parents na hakuwai ata sema intentions zake kwangu."

Another caller added: "I don't think a ring will prove anything. Mimi najua napenda ata maybe nikitoa hiyo pete nitaharibu."

A caller was dissapointed by Maina, who thought the presenter was encouraging women to start demanding for marriage: "Sisi tuliopata wasichana kwa disco matanga unatuambia nini."

A caller: "I got married but the guy didn't go the official way. I was with him for nine years and had never met my parents."

A caller narrated her ordeal: I was in a relationship for two years and the guy decided to take me to school. I thought he'd propose, I waited for it, and nothing happens, he was just there. I felt he had emotional issues, moving to the next relationship, I said it had to work, I said it was either marrige or goodbye. After three to four months, he proposed. If a man doesn't love you, he will not commit. I'm now married for seven years and I'm happy.
