Classic105 presenter Maina Kageni has eulogised the late great veteran television anchor, Catherine Kasavuli in a beautiful message he posted on his social media.

The popular Classic105 presenter started by noting that the late mom of one was a trailblazer and the country's first proper superstar.

"You were a trailblazer, @catherinekasavuli you were the media's first real superstar... You inspired many..."

He also revealed how she had inspired him when he met her while he was still in high school.

"When I was in high school, I happened to meet you and you actually asked me to come and see the KTN studios and even do a dummy news bulletin!! It was so exciting and maybe that is where my media flame was lit...

He finished by stating that the late Kasavuli would always be a legend to him.

"Rest well...To your children, family, and friends, I cry with them...To you, I say a heartfelt ASANTE for opening many doors and fuelling so many dreams."

He finished his ode by saying that one day the disease that had robbed Kenyans of so many people (including Kasavuli) would die too.

"One day, cancer too shall die..... We shall love you always.... #AnotherLegendLeaves #CatherineKasavuli #OnceTwiceThreeTimesALady."
