Marriage is a lifetime commitment and not a game of trials.

In 2022, Kenyans witnessed a number of weddings as their favorite celebrities ditched the bachelors and bachelorette clubs to settle down with their significant others.

Coincidentally, most of those who walked down the aisle in 2022 are from the music industry followed closely by Journalists. 

Guardian Angel and Esther Musila

The award winning gospel musician kicked off the year on a high note when he married his lover, Esther Musila.

The small intimate wedding saw the couple exchange vows at a garden wedding that was witnessed by less than 50 guests made up of close family and friends.

The nuptials took place at Sue Gardens at River Drive in Muthaiga North.

Nick Ruto and Evelyne Chemutai

President William Ruto’s son Nick Ruto officiated his relationship on January 15, 2022.

Lucy Natasha and Prophet Carmel

City Preacher Rev. Lucy Natasha and Prophet  Stanley Carmel are among couples who officiated their union in 2022. 

After a beautiful engagement in November 2021, Natasha and Carmel held a lavish traditional wedding on January 29, 2022.

The ceremony was held at the Evergreen Woodvale Drive House in Runda Estate, Nairobi County and was attended by close family and friends.

 Msupa S and her boyfriend

US-based Kenyan rapper Sandra Chebet also known as Msupa S took her affair to the next level in 2022 with lover Nick. 

 Juliani and Lilian Ng'ang'a

Juliani is another gospel musician who tied the knot early in the year when he married former Machakos County first lady, Lilian Ng'ang'a in a colorful wedding.

The duo wed at Paradise Lost on February 2, 2022, in the presence of close family and friends. The guest list had less than 50 people.

Afterwards, the newly weds traveled to Meru for their honeymoon.

Akisa Wandera and Charles

BBC Journalist  Akisa Wanera tied the knot with her darling Charles in a traditional wedding ceremony on March 2022.

Nandy and Billnass

Tanzanian superstars, Nandy and her soulmate Billnass wedded in 2022 in super colorful event that had the who is who in the Bongo entertainment industry.

The couple arrived at the wedding in a Rolls Royce.

Ngina Kenyatta and Alex Mwai 

President Kenyatta's daughter, Ngina Kenyatta got married at a traditional wedding in July.

According to photos shared by close friends who attended the wedding, Ngina's wedding theme was African attire and the colour blue dominated the event.

Among those who attended the wedding was Health CS Mutahi Kagwe.

Uhuru Kenyatta's mum Mama Ngina also attended the ceremony.

She wore a stylish purple hat and a matching floral African dress with a pearl necklace.

Miss Trudy and Wode Maya

Kenyan YouTuber Miss Trudy  tied the knot with her Ghanaian bae Wode Maya in September.

The wedding was held in Yala, Busia.

Purity Museo

KTN News anchor Purity Museo walked down the aisle with her fiancé in November 2022. 

Their lovely wedding was held in Mombasa, Kenya. 

Amos Muema

In October, Kenyan musician Amos Muema aka Amos from Tusker Project Fame duo Amos and Josh officiated his relationship.

Amos walked down the aisle with his lover Mercy in a private wedding ceremony. The occasion was graced by their close friends and family.
