One of the biggest challenges celebrities continue to face is keeping their relationships private and when things go south, they have to face the reality and open up to their fans about it.
Below are celebrity breakups that caught us unaware in 2022.
1. Governor Joho
Joho’s Italian ex-wife Madina Giovanni Fazzini got divorced in February 4, this year.
Fazzini, 32, was married to Joho under Islamic law on February 11, 2011. They are blessed with two daughters, now aged nine and eight years.
On January 26, this year, Fazzini filed a divorce case at the Kadhi’s Court in Mombasa, saying that their 11-year marriage had broken down irretrievably, with no chances of revival.
On February 4, Joho through his lawyer signed a consent to end the marriage with his wife. A certificate of divorce was issued by Chief Kadhi on the same day.
2. Akothee and Nelly Oaks
The 41-year-old took to her socials to announce she was single again.
She was at the time dating her manager Nelly Oaks.
"Nimeachwa imagine... I am single again. Don't take this relationship thing personally," her post read.
The mother of five went on to add that the road to relationships was always under construction, joking that her forever to infinity had packed and left.
"Do you remember when I told you I am taken? Well till death do us part just parked and left! I'm single again guys... the road to relationship is always under construction," the rest of her post read.
She has since moved on and is dating a white guy known as Omondi.
3. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
The pair married at a Renaissance fort in the Italian city of Florence in 2014.
The former couple will have joint custody of their four children, who are aged between three and nine.
In March this year, a judge declared them legally single.
4. Kajala and Harmonize
Kajala and Harmonize parted a few weeks ago.
This is the second time they are partying. It is not clear what caused a rift between the two given the effort Harmonize had put to win Kajala back.
5. Sam West and Vivian
Motivational speaker Sam West and his singer wife Vivian parted ways this year.
The couple did not make public the reason for their breakup.
Vivian had a daughter from a previous union while Vivian
Cartoon Comedian and Mbagiruh
Cartoon comedian and her boyfriend Mbagiruh, also her producer, parted ways after Cartoon accused him of cheating.
Shaq The Yungin and Cindy Kipsang
NRG presenter Shaq The Yungin shocked his online followers after confessing that his girlfriend had dumped him for his best friend.
Stevo Simple Boy and Pritty Vishy
Kibera musician Stevo Simple Boy and Pritty Vishy made headlines for their relationship which had issues.
Sailors Gang’s Masilver and Winny Wayua
Former Sailor’s Gang crew Masilver on September 2022 parted ways with his wife Winny Wayua.
Sean Preezy and Cindy
After dumping Shaq the Yungin, Cindy’s relationship with Sean Prizzy did not live to see the year-end as on December 2022, the two announced having ended their relationship.
