Barack Obama shares his favourite music, movies and books of 2022

He, however, picked Mitchell Obama's book titled 'The Light We Carry' as his number one favourite.

Former US President Barack Obama has just released his personal 2022 wrapped playlist.

And this year, he has gone all out unlike last year where he just shared his 2021 music playlist, the head of state has also shared his favourite movies and books of the year.

Looking at his music list and movies as well you can tell the guy is still got it! Still cool as ever.

His music list includes genres like pop, rock, hip-hop, afro-beats, reggaetón, jazz, house, Tuareg guitar jams and gothic blues. Such vast music taste!

Some of his top favourite artists include: Kendrick Lamar, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Beyonce, Koffee, SZA, Rema, Lizzo, and Omar Apollo among others.

Sharing the playlist on his page he captioned the post, "I always enjoy sharing my end of year music playlist with all of you — and this year we heard a lot of great songs

Here are some of my favourites'."

He went on to ask his followers to hook him up with artists whom they think he should give a listen to in lieu with the songs he had posted. 

"Are there any songs or artists I should check out?" Finished off the former head of state.

His favourite movie genres rotated from action to animation.

The list had movies such as : Woman King, Top Gun Maverick, After Yang, Petite Maman and Descendant.

Captioning the post he wrote, "I saw some great movies this year – here are some of my favourites. What did I miss?"

Last year he did the same thing where he released his favourite hits.

The 10-track playlist of his favourite songs in 2021 included genres like pop, rock, hip-hop, reggaeton, jazz, house, Tuareg guitar jams and gothic blues.

His favourite songs included Lil Nas X‘s smash “Montero (Call Me By Your Name), Lizzo and Cardi B's  “Rumors.” among others.

 “I’ve always enjoyed listening to a wide variety of music, so it’s no surprise that I listened to a little bit of everything this year.
