Businessman Elon Musk has said that he is ready to resign as Twitter CEO after Netizens voted for his resignation.

In a tweet, Musk made it clear that he will only resign once he finds someone who is 'foolish' enough to take the job.

He added that after his resignation he will focus on running the software and servers teams at Twitter.

"I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & servers teams," Musk updated.

Just the other day, Musk put up a poll asking Tweeps if he should resign as the Twitter CEO.

57 percent of those who took part in the poll voted for Musk's resignation.

"Should I step down as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll," read the Twitter poll from Elon Musk.

At the same time, the billionaire businessman said that all major changes on Twitter will undergo a public vote.

"Going forward, there will be a vote for major policy changes. My apologies. Won’t happen again," Elon affirmed.

Musk acquired Twitter in 2022 and a lot of changes have been witnessed in the bird app since he became the new owner and CEO.

He completed his $44bn (£38.1bn) takeover of Twitter, in October 2022.

Mr Musk said he bought it to help humanity and wanted "civilization to have a common digital town square".
