Tanzanian singer Ben Pol has asked his fans to ignore rumours that he is a deadbeat dad. The 'Moyo Mashine' hitmaker said that he is only a father of two and that he's never seen the woman accusing him of fathering her child.
"I have never refused to take care of a child. I have received a lot of posts of someone saying they have sired a child with me, yet I have never seen them," he told Wasafi TV.
He added "I handle my family issues very well."
"I see all these allegations but I don't like to respond to these allegations."
The singer insisted that he is not the father.
"To be honest, I have two kids. God is my witness, I have never refused to take care of a child that is mine."
In a past interview with Kalondu Musyimi, Pol said he underwent therapy after his divorce with Kenyan businesswoman Anerlisa Muigai.
"What I believe is, if you had invested in that relationship, you just can't move on as if nothing happened. It doesn't go like that. I had to cope."
"I went for counselling. I can never deny."
"Life in itself is challenging. You cannot just move on with life just like that, there's a lot of things you have to process."
"In life, these things happen and there are people whose jobs is to help."
