Ellen DeGeneres' DJ Stephen "tWitch" Boss dies by suicide at 40

In a statement on Wednesday, Ellen DeGeneres expressed her "heartbreak" over the passing of Stephen "tWitch" Boss, a longtime DJ and co-executive producer of her former talk show.

Stephen "tWitch" Boss alias DJ tWitch has passed way at the age of 40.

According to TMZ, the famous DJ took his own life.

A heartbroken Ellen, mourned the Dj with an powerful post- reflecting on all the good times they shared on her show.

“I’m heartbroken. tWitch was pure love and light. He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him. Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children - Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia,” Ellen shared.

In an interview with TMZ, Stephen's wife Allison Holker said;

"Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him."

Adding "He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans. To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt. I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honor his memory."

Closes sources report that  tWitch was discovered dead at a hotel in Los Angeles, after leaving his home without his car.

He is said to have dies from self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Stephen began spinning records on Ellen's show in 2014 and continued doing so until the show's discontinuation in May 2022.

In 2020, he was appointed executive producer of the show.

tWitch and Allison got engaged in 2013 after meeting while performing on the "SYTYCD" all-star season. This past Saturday marked the ninth anniversary of Allison and Stephen's union.

They have 3 children.
