Blessing Lung'aho and Jackie Matubia, have given an explanation for their decision to arrive at the Wakanda Forever II premiere "poorly clothed."
The pair, in particular Jackie Matubia, claims in a video posted to their YouTube channel that the invitation arrived too late—a day before the celebration.
Because of this, she didn't have time to properly prepare a suitable dress for the occasion. The actress claims that one of her go-to designers created the dress she wore to the event in only a few short hours.
"The invites to the Wakanda Fan Screening came late and there was no time for us to get prepared but we wouldn't say no since we are getting paid to go for such events," Jackie Matubia said.
However, she insists that because they had been paid to attend the screening, they were required to appear at the event in any manner possible.
Following the release of photos from the event, the two-faced pressure from critics of fashion, with some trolls comparing their clothing choices to those of guests at baby showers.
