Standard group managing director, Joe Ageyo has announced that he is set to leave the media company.
The seasoned award winning journalist joined KTN almost two decades ago as a general news reporter, and has since grown to become one of the most celebrated journalists in the region.
Ageyo is celebrated for having pioneered the country’s first 24-hour news channel (Ktn news) an achievement he holds dear.
His post reads, I am humbled to have worked with the greatest news team in town. Together we conquered mountains. We launched the country’s only 24-hour news channel and got it to the top tier in 18 months. May God watch over you all at

His colleagues at Standard media group surprised their boss with a farewell party which was attended by dozens of popular media personalities.

Among the first people to send their tributes to Ageyo was news anchor, Ben Kitili who praised Ageyo’s leadership skills.
