Stay Strong – Fans tell King Kaka after he was summoned by CID

King Kaka has been in the news this week after his controversial song ‘Wajinga Nyinyi’ was released. The song whose lyrics attack a lot of Kenyan politicians has been both celebrated and derided for its critical and timely message.

Today, the artiste who said that his life has been under threat over the song has revealed that he has been summoned by the CID. He posted this on his Instagram page with his caption reading, ‘Headed there now.’

His message was posted on his page an hour ago. Most of his fans and followers instantly commiserated with him and encouraged him telling him that all would be well.

However in a twist, DCI Kenya through its Twitter account has denied summoning the artist, warning people against using the DCI for publicity stunts.

This comes after the artiste rustled many feathers with his new song. One of those is Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru, who threatened to sue him over the song.

Through her lawyers, the Governor accused the artiste of, among other accusations, publishing through his song accusations that are false, mischevious, malicious and have no basis.

This came after the rapper mentioned the Governor in the song and linked her to graft. Waiguru’s legal team stated that the Governor has never been prosecuted before court and unless the rapper had evidence to accompany his allegations, he should submit to their demands.
