A man going by the name Brian Kibet Bera tried entering State House last night.
Brian trespassed the compound where President Kenyatta lives, at around 4 p.m yesterday.
Brian got into State House by climbing over “gate bravo”. Upon being challenged by officers manning the said gate, he drew out a knife which prompted officers to fire at him.
He then sustained a gunshot wound on his left shoulder plate. When the 25-year-old Brian was, later on, searched it was found that he was a fifth-year student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
The suspect is pursuing a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering. On June 9th, Brian had written a disturbing post on his Facebook page where he threatened the president.
To: Thief President Uhuru Kenyatta and his partners
Tomorrow I attack State House.
God has sent me to execute judgment on every thief and every partner of a thief.
(From Prince Of Ethiopia, formerly called Brian Kibet Bera).
Another disturbing post of his from that same day read;
It is a spiritual war. the devil has no power to kill me. He may only torture me. I will not allow myself to be captured because I will be tortured with drugs. Remember samson was never killed by philistines. only torture. I am dropping out of school. schooling is torture and spiritually satanic. it drives me away from God.
The suspect was later booked at Kileleshwa Police Station before he was taken to Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment.
In 2017, an unnamed intruder was shot dead by Presidential Guard marksmen after the deceased illegally accessed the highly protected grounds.
