Citizen TV reporter Jacque Maribe has been detained for 10 days after being arrested in connection to the murder of Monicah Kimani days after her fiance was also named a suspect.
Joseph Irungu was the first to be arrested initially as a person of interest after he was identified by neigbours as the last person who was seen at Monicah’s house before her lifeless body was discovered in a bathtub.
Many are wondering why the presenter might have been arrested, don’t speculate anymore.
Here are the major reasons she was arrested.

1.Police also believe Maribe may have fully been aware of at least some of Irungu’s actions but tried to cover them up in a bid to save his fiancé.
2.She took her fiance to hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound despite the fact that they had not reported the case.
Detectives theories that the wound on the left side of Irungu’s chest may have been an attempt to commit suicide after the reality and enormity of what he had done dawned on him.
3.Covering up for him
According to People Daily Jacque Maribe might have been aware of her fiancee Joseph Irungu leaving the deceased’s house in a blood-stained kanzu .
Given that he took a shower in her house, Jowie later picked a matchbox, walked out of the maisonette to a corner in the compound and torched a heap of items, including the kanzu as part of his cover-up efforts before driving off.

4.She is accused of housing a murder suspect.
Jacque Maribe has been living with Joseph Irungu alias Jowie in her home despite the fact that he has a career of his own. He proposed to her this year in a romantic getaway attended by her close friends.
It was after initial efforts to destroy evidence that Irungu is said to have driven to a nightclub in Westlands where Maribe was partying after work.
Witness accounts say Irungu arrived at the club at around 2:30 am, picked Maribe before they drove off to the latter’s home.
5.Live bullet recovered
A live bullet was recovered in her house despite their earlier argument that Jowie had been shot outside the house by unknown people.
