While most women in their 20’s and 30’s are struggling to lose excess weight, celebrated actress Halle Berry has a body most women can only dream of.
The 51-year-old is not only talented, but also a great role model especially to young girls and women around the world for her effort to maintain a healthy life style.
According to Daily Mail, the actress has shared her secret to achieving the youthful looks she has maintained since her days as an actress in the much celebrated movie ‘The cat woman’.
Berry has credited her good looks to collagen which can either be homemade by boiling bone or store bought.
The 51-year-old actress picks up bones from the butcher and boils them into a special drink, which she claims is ‘full of collagen’ to keep her complexion flawless, she told Extra.
She further explained how to prepare the bones to get the collagen. She said
“You can make it, you can go to the butcher and get all the bones they’re going to throw away and he’ll give them to you for free,’ Take the bones, boil them up for 24 hours… and you drink the broth. It’s so full of collagen that it’s crazy.”
She also exercises a ton.
Speaking to E! News, her trainer Peter Lee Thomas said: ‘She pretty much had a checklist of things she wanted as far as her physique is concerned and we had a bulletproof battle plan…
‘You better believing we are doing some boxing, some kick boxing, some Muay Thai… I’m definitely working on those skill sets with her and she’s also doing strength and conditioning.
‘She’s using kettle bells, bar bells, dumbbells, working on the pull up bar, doing dips, sprinting pushing heavy things, pulling stuff. It’s just a really dynamic way to jumpstart anyone’s metabolism.’
The pair work together five days a week, and Halle’s trainer has praised her dedication and resilience when it comes to her work ethic.
He added: ‘I have never met anybody that works harder and trains harder and is just so resilient. She is getting faster, stronger and becoming more athletic. I’ve never met another person who can do it like her.’
