Ali Hassan Joho is many things in life. He is an accomplished businessman and an astute politician, rising to the ranks to become the governor of Mombasa.
The gritty and witty governor is also a stylist, possibly Kenya’s most fashionable politician. But his talents and hobbies seem to have no end as he decided to showcase his boxing talents recently.
Talk about, ‘Jack of all trades, master of none, but oftentimes better than master of one.’
In a video released on social media, the governor can be seen sparring with someone we assume to be his trainer. Dressed in a tiny pair of shorts and in full boxing training gear, Joho is seen punching like a real pro.
The video is below;
The video of the governor training in his shorts obviously attracted the attention of several people who stole it and shared it widely on social media.
It seems like boxing and politics go hand in hand. Vitaly Klitschko, the former heavyweight boxing champion is now a politician in his native Ukraine.
And he isn’t alone, current WBA (Regular) welterweight titleholder Manny Pacquiao is a politician who is still taking part in the sport he loves as he represents the people.
His career unlike Joho started in the ring and transcended into serving his people. He was first elected in May 2010, to the House of Representatives in the 15th Congress of the Philippines, representing the province of Sarangani.
He was again re-elected in 2013 to the 16th Congress of the Philippines. In June 2016, Pacquiao was elected as a senator and will serve a six-year term until 2022.
