They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but not everyone gets it.
An account trying to pass itself off as a real Nigerian police, attracted the attention of citizens.
The fake Nigerian police twitter handle is surprising people with their sense of humor.
He/she has also caught the attention of the real police who have sent out a warming for impersonation noting that the parody account is communicating with local media, elected officials, and the community.
It is not only fraudulent but ostensibly designed to spread fake news and consequently tarnish the image of the Force. Members of the public are advised not to “follow” the handle and those currently ”following” the handle are advised to stop forth with.
But seriously the account clearly states it’s a parody.
Any awkward conversations are totally game for social media jokes.
So, to keep up the spirits, the fake account joked about the warning with a hilarious comeback, that Nigerians are responding to.
Nigerians on Twitter reacted hilariously to the banter
