‘E-Sir saved my life,’ Nameless

Legendary star Nameless real name David Mathenge says his late best friend E-Sir moved seats before dying in an accident.

“My brother E-sir I always feel like I have a bro the story behind (his death) is he moved me from the two seats where I would have died. He is the one who moved me without even knowing he was telling me ‘No let’s sit here.’ I always feel like I have an obligation and a purpose to keep telling and I always ask myself why did God do that,” Nameless said.

He urged young artists to emulate the late singer, who was very talented, very hard working but also very humble.

“Humble means you are open to hearing other things, you don’t feel like you know everything and that’s what made him grow so fast because he’d learn very fast. That’s something I always like to teach young artists. They come with the confidence that they have talent but also come with the humility that they can learn a lot more and become better,” he said.

Nameless also shared how he is getting used to being jobless, having not been employed for 24 years.

Nameless explained how he gets disoriented sometimes, not knowing what time it is because he was used to waking up at 4 AM and planning his day based on that.

At the event, Jalang’o also shared his experience of being jobless, “I’m trying to get used to being jobless. For the first time in 15 years, I am waking up and not going to the studio for the breakfast show,” he said.
