The Consumer Federation has moved to court seeking to have Kenya Airways compelled to suspend all its flights to West Africa.
KQ has already announced that it will stop flights to and from Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia which have been hardest hit by the Ebola outbreak. The airline however said it would continue with its flights to Nigeria where at least one case of the virus has been confirmed.
COFEK’s Stephen Mutoro says KQ should stop flying to all West African countries until the virus is fully contained.
The federation has also sued the health ministry accusing the government of gambling with the lives of Kenyans.
