You can continue enjoying TV content free for life thanks to a partnership between KTN and Bamba TV.
Standard Group Limited, proprietors of KTN, have invested a 50% equity in Lancia Digital Broadcasting, the trademark owner of Bamba TV.
Speaking at the Serena Hotel during the launch , the Standard Group CEO Sam Shollei, said “This investment will ensure that Bamba TV is able to leverage on KTN’s heritage, strong brand and content offering while KTN will leverage on Bamba’s multichannel platform and reach across the country”.
He added, “With Bamba TV, we seek to continue with this trend, leveraging on our expertise in content development and understanding of the Kenyan market. We aim to develop new content formats that will seek to meet audience needs and bring new viewing habits, all the time seeking to entertain, inform and educate our audiences.”
KTN (Home Channel) and KTN News will now be available on the Bamba TV bouquet and there will be an opportunity to schedule some of Bamba’s programming on the KTN channels.
Radio Africa’s C.E.O Patrick Quarcoo said, ” Today we witness the realization of a dream that we at Radio Africa have waited for a long time. Kenya’s media is coming together to develop a single approach to meeting consumer needs in our market.
He added, “This revolutionary change will enable viewers have more choice in programming both locally and internationally. We intend to add twelve more counties by December 2016, to the additional ten in existence. ”
Bamba has already sold over 300,000 set up boxes and intends to see the number grow.
