Babu Owino has had a beginning to his 2020 that I think he would most likely want to redo if he had the chance. The embattled Embakasi Kenyan legislator has been in the news the past two months mostly for the wrong reasons, with his shooting incident at B-Club being the reason.
The politician has mostly delivered statements concerning the incident through his lawyers but he recently broke pattern and spoke to a local radio station about it.
He said that the shooting incident is personal to him and that he forgave himself. He further added that Kenyans should move on from the past and instead look ahead because nothing can change what might have gone wrong.
Babu reiterated that the matter was personal – between him and God and he has no regrets because he forgave himself for the incident.
“It is a matter between me and God and I chose to forgive myself. We cannot change the past but we can change the future. Let us focus on what is coming in the foreseeable future. Let us not dwell so much on our past because we cannot change no matter how much we would wish to change it.
What did the MP have to say about the deejay´s pending and escalating hospital bills? “I would not wish to dwell in that but matters bill, I will pay the bills and leave it there.”
The Embakasi East MP declined to shed any more light on the matter, insisting that it is a matter currently in court, therefore cannot be discussed.
Meanwhile, today is DJ Evolve’s birthday and fellow DJ, Pierra Makena joined others in wishing the stricken entertainer a happy birthday.
We at Classic105 wish that he will be back to spinning decks on his next birthday.
