Elders of the Agikuyu community have conducted rituals at the homestead and grave of the late TikToker, Brian Chira, one month after his burial.

In a recorded video clip, village elders gathered at Brian Chira's family home on Thursday to cleanse and condemn anything related to same-sex relationships.

In the video, the elders were seen dressed in traditional attire and moving around the homestead and to his grave while uttering words in the Agikuyu language.

They said they were cleansing the homestead and the village as a whole against LGBTQ spirits.

After the purification ceremony, the elders advised the youth to believe in the process of seeking wealth by avoiding quick money that could lead to death.

"There are many temptations, and we have seen many people coming to our county to inform us about what happened to Brian Chira regarding money and the funerals of famous people, but we have destroyed all the bad altars brought here."

"We want to tell the youth that whatever happened in this area of Githunguri was wrong, and following that incident, men in Githunguri organized to cleanse the area through Kikuyu customs and traditions to ensure the area is clean against LGBTQ spirits," they added.
