Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has ignited controversy following a heated exchange with Jurgen Klopp, insisting, "If I speak, there will be fire."

The forward and the manager were caught on camera in a heated argument as the player prepared to come on against West Ham, after being benched at the London Stadium.

Initially, Salah seemed agitated during his warm-up before the game started, and tensions escalated in the second half.

Klopp was asked about the incident after the game, in which Liverpool drew 2-2, dimming any faint hopes of the championship, and he moved to allay concerns.

He told TNT Sport: "No, [I won't share what was said]. But we have already talked in the dressing room, and for me, that's settled."

However, Salah seems to be taking a different approach as he walks away from the mixed zone after the game, refusing to be interviewed but sharing his thoughts with nearby reporters.

He said: "If I speak today, there will be fire."

Jurgen Klopp refused to explain his heated exchange with Mohamed Salah as Liverpool drew with West Ham.

The Egyptian was dropped to the bench at the London Stadium, following a poor performance in Liverpool's Merseyside derby against Everton, and was waiting on the touchline to come on when Michail Antonio scored to make it 2-2 at the London Stadium.

Klopp approached Salah and said something, before the forward responded angrily, eventually needing to be pulled away by teammates Darwin Nunez and Joe Gomez.

When asked to disclose what was said between the two, Klopp said: "No. But we have already talked in the dressing room, for me, it's done."

Regarding whether Salah also felt the matter was resolved, he added: "Those were my thoughts, yes."
